NICE TO MEET YOU!
Ms. LaShonda Whitaker is best known as Ms. Shonda by her students and families. She resides in Lancaster, PA with her teenage daughter Wanda Marie, and outside of work loves spending time in family fellowship, researching, and taking walks. Ms. Shonda’s educational background is in Psychology, as she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Millersville University, class of 2010. Her professional training has been in early childhood education, business management, and the mental health field.
Ms. Whitaker has worked in the early learning and childcare industry for over 17 years, in various roles. Ms. Shonda has been the Founder/CEO and a teacher of Whitaker Early Learning Center (previously Whitaker Family Child Care), since December 2013. She is dedicated to making continuous improvements in her business model, with the goal to positively impact the lives of the children, families, and community. With that in mind, in 2023 Ms. Shonda transitioned Whitaker Early Learning Center to focusing our direction on 3 main areas: preparing ages 3- 5-year-old kiddos for kindergarten, parenting coaching, and by providing professional early learning consultations for providers. Ms. Shonda’s research and experience has shown her that there is a myriad of benefits to Online learning for children, parents, and teachers as a whole.
Although Ms. Shonda has accomplished many professional milestones in her career, she takes the most pride in raising her well-rounded teen daughter. It would be a pleasure for us to help support you on the journey to a more successful experience as a parent or business leader by preparing your child for kindergarten, assisting in areas of parenting, or by providing professional early learning consulting.

Our daily learning experiences and activities are through a virtual classroom, is 30 minutes in length, and teaches STEAM based academics with a holistic approach to learning.

Must be turning 3 years old, before September 1st. *Children that are slightly older and not starting Kindergarten on time may participate.
WHAT - DO YOU NEED:
To have access to a desktop, laptop, I-Pad, or tablet. 100% online program, therefore Internet or Wi-Fi Access needed.
WHEN- ARE PROGRAMS HELD:
Online Preschool Programs begin September 5, 2023- May 31, 2024. Classes are not held on Holidays.

One-on-One Learning/Tutoring Sessions that are tailored to meet the child where they are at academically. The goal is to provide the child with skills that will prepare them for a successful transition into kindergarten.
